GM SEMA New Corvette Lineup

The Specialty Equipment Market Association show is right around the corner and this year several automakers are viewing the show as a legitimate venue. Toyota has already announced that it will unveil two new cars at the SEMA show — the Corolla and Matrix — and will use the event as the Lexus IS-F’s official launch, and now General Motors has announced a number of vehicles it will be previewing at this year’s show.

GM’s theme for this year’s show will be “Green goes with mean,” and will display several cars that are both high-performance and environmentally friendly.

GM has only released one teaser image for the upcoming show — featuring the Pontiac Solstice SD-290 — but failed to give any performance specifications. Also on display at the GM stage will be an E-85 powered Chevrolet Corvette Z06 — owned by Jay Leno — with 600 horsepower and a hot-rod inspired by a 1934 Chevy that is powered by a 500 horsepower FlexFuel version of GM’s turbocharged Ecotec engine.

Other noteworthy GM vehicles to grace the show will be the Chevrolet Camaro Convertible concept, the Saturn Astra and the Pontiac G8.
